Outstanding Achievement (Organisation) 2007
Bike On Australia was recognised for the significant contribution it has made to the health and well being of the Sunshine Coast community by winning the coveted Brisbane City Council Award for Outstanding Achievement (Organisation). Roger Newton, owner of Bike On Australia, said Bike On had evolved into a total cycling experience owned and run by people who have a real passion for cycling.
“Bike On Australia staff give generously of their time back to the community and regularly conduct free bike information and education seminars. They are actively involved with council groups such as the Noosa Bicycle Advisory Group and the Noosa Trail Network which promote cycling and improved infrastructure for cyclists.
