Noosa beach holidays
Leave the Beach Gear at Home
A Noosa beach holiday should be easy. But if you are flying in, you can’t easily bring the setup you have at home: the shade, the chairs, the cooler, the kids’ buckets and spades, and definitely not the surfboards. So you either go without, or buy cheap gear you will leave behind at the end of the week.
There is a better way. We hire high quality beach equipment, CoolCabanas and Haydenshapes surfboards, deliver it to your accommodation, and let you keep it for your whole stay. You arrive, the good gear is waiting, and every beach day is sorted.
CoolCabana hire
Real Shade on a Breezy Beach
Noosa’s sun is strong and the afternoon sea breeze is reliable. That combination is hard on beach umbrellas, which is why so many families end up chasing theirs down the sand.
A CoolCabana is an Australian designed beach cabana that sets up in minutes and handles a breeze far better than an umbrella. There is room underneath for the whole family, and the shade moves with the day as you angle it.
Add a CoolCabana mat and you have a proper base camp: somewhere to sit, eat and nap without lying in the sand.

Getting it there
Parked a Little Way Back?
Parking near Noosa’s beaches fills up fast in the holidays, and the closest spot is often a fair walk from the sand. That is where a trundle earns its keep.
Load the cabana, chairs, cooler and the kids’ gear into one heavy duty beach trolley and wheel it down in a single trip, instead of three trips and an argument.
Staying close to the beach? Pair your beach gear with bike hire and leave the car at home altogether. Our guide to getting around Noosa by bike has the details.
For the kids
Keep the Kids Busy for Hours
A good beach day with kids is really a series of small projects: a sandcastle, a game of catch, a swim, a bodyboard in the shallows, then another sandcastle.
Games and sandcastle pack
Spades, buckets, balls and a frisbee in one hire.
Kids bodyboards and fins
Sized for smaller riders.
Hand surfers
A compact handboard that makes bodysurfing even more fun, for kids and adults.
Always swim between the flags on patrolled beaches, and keep a close eye on younger kids in the water.
Surfboard hire Noosa
The Right Board for Whatever the Surf Is Doing
Noosa’s surf changes day to day. One morning it is small, clean and perfect for a longboard on the points. The next, a swell has filled in and the beach breaks at Sunshine are firing. If you bring one board from home, it is the wrong board half the time.
Hiring means you can match the board to the day. We stock Haydenshapes surfboards, including the Hypto Krypto, one of the best selling surfboards in the world, plus Gnaraloo soft boards for learners and kids. Our beach and surf hire runs in partnership with Sandy Shores Surf Hire, and you can book all of it right here.
Hire is in 24 hour blocks from pickup, so an afternoon session and the next morning’s glass can be one day’s hire.
