Garmin Hill The ride opens with Gyndier Drive, a 3 km climb on the original Cooroy to Noosa road, closed to cars. Noosa Triathlon racers know it as Garmin Hill, and it is the biggest climb of the day, done early.
Ringtail Creek Road About 5 km of gravel through tall forest, mostly downhill, with the trees closing in overhead. The road the ride is named for, and the part you will talk about afterwards.
The Tinbeerwah High Country Sunrise Road, Gumbiol Road and Clearview Drive roll along the high ground at Tinbeerwah, with open views over hinterland farms before the drop to Lake Macdonald.
Lake Cooroibah Back Streets The way home skips the main road for the quiet streets of Cooroibah near Lake Cooroibah. Calm, shady and almost car free.
Lake Doonella The last few kilometres follow the Lake Doonella pathway beside the tidal wetland at the shallow end of the Noosa Everglades system, all the way back to the shop.
2-for-1 at Land & Sea The ride finishes at the shop, directly across the road from Land & Sea Brewery. Grab a 2-for-1 drinks voucher from us when you get back. Trading hours vary, so check before you ride.

Ride Overview

From the shop, shared paths and Beckmans Road take you to the Cooroy Noosa Road shared path and the climb up Gyndier Drive, the car free hill Noosa Triathlon racers know as Garmin Hill. At the top it follows Sunrise Road, Sivyers Road, Gumbiol Road and Clearview Drive across the Tinbeerwah high country to Old Tewantin Road at Lake Macdonald.

Then the gravel starts. Ringtail Creek Road runs for about 5 km through tall forest, mostly downhill, before it meets McKinnon Drive. The quiet streets of Cooroibah, Illoura Place, Woodhaven Way, Jirrima Crescent and Lake Cooroibah Road, take you back toward Tewantin.

Through Tewantin the route picks up the Lake Doonella pathway for the last stretch home. It is 41 km with about 390 m of climbing, mostly on sealed roads with around 6 km of gravel, so it suits confident riders who are comfortable with some traffic and loose surfaces. Gravel changes after rain, so ride to the conditions.
